Spawn for professional mushroom producers | 4th generation of mycelium | 5 liter Microsac. Mycelium inoculated from mother spawn bottle or bag. Certified axenic mycelium on sterilized grain, meant for further multiplication. Each portion is double-tested, axenic, and packed in a sealed Microsac.
|Binomial name||Coprinus comatus|
|Natural substrate||The straw/manure compost can support substantial fruitings of this mushroom. Another excellent medium can be made from the manure and urea-enriched sawdust discharged from horse stables. Paper and pulp waste also support fruiting. Like most coprophiles, this mushroom greatly benefits from the placement of a peat moss based, casing soil.|
|Incubation||room temperature:||21-27° C|
|Primordia induction||(night time)* temperature:||18-24° C|
|Fruiting conditions||room temperature:|
|interval:||every 4-10 days|
|Total production cycle||3 to 4 weeks by the end of incubation|
|Average yield||80-100% B. E|
*Primordia are induced by a shock. For most mushroom species, this is done with a thermal shock, which is defined by the minimum temperature during the day-night cycle.
