Oyster Mushroom Grain Spawn

Oyster mushrooms are commonly used in Japanese, Korean and Chinese cuisine. Some say oyster mushrooms taste similar to oysters as well as resembling them.

One study has shown that consumption of oyster mushroom extracts can even be beneficial to your health by reducing cholesterol levels.

Our spawn is stored in optimum conditions using specialist breathable bags. This means that the organism is always at its healthiest and ready for inoculation.

Pink Oyster Spawn:

• The ideal growing conditions for the pink oyster mushrooms are: 18-28 C
• Produces enormous meaty caps and vibrant pink colour
• We recommend a storage temperature of no lower than 10 C
• Originating from South-East Asia
• First harvest: 3-5 weeks
• Strain: Pleurotus Djamor
• Typically harvest <1.5kg over 3-5 flushes

Yellow-Gold Oyster Spawn:

• The ideal growing conditions for blue-grey oyster mushrooms are: 15-22 C
• We recommend a storage temperature of no higher than 5 C
• First harvest: 3-5 weeks
• Typically harvest <1.5kg over 3-5 flushes
• Strain: Pleurotus citrinopileatus

Blue-Grey Oyster Spawn:

• The ideal growing conditions for blue-grey oyster mushrooms are: 10-20 C
• We recommend a storage temperature of no higher than 5 C
• First harvest: 3-5 weeks
• Typically harvest <1.5kg over 3-5 flushes
• Strain:  Pleurotus ostreatus

White Elm Oyster Spawn:

• The ideal growing conditions for white elm oyster mushrooms are: 13-20 C
• We recommend a storage temperature of no higher than 5 C
• First harvest: 3-5 weeks
• Typically harvest <1.5kg over 3-5 flushes
• Strain: Pleurotus ostreatus var. florida

King Oyster Spawn:

• The ideal growing conditions for king oyster mushrooms are: 12-15 C
• We recommend a storage temperature of no higher than 5 C for 7-10 days
• First harvest: 3-5 weeks
• Strain:  Pleurotus Eryngii
